Now with reservations open for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the expanded Rocky Mountaineer schedule from Canada Rail includes eastbound and westbound itineraries between Vancouver, Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff.
A recent survey from Condé Nast Traveler shows that the Canadian Rockies are widely considered to be one of the most spectacular mountain ranges on the planet, with Banff listed as a top attraction for nature-lovers and photographers. While onboard the Rocky Mountaineer, individuals will have a chance to be immersed in the mountains while enjoying the train’s luxurious amenities. “You’ll traverse the iconic Canadian Rockies, feasting your eyes on the majestic peaks, crystal clear lakes, and possibly even some local wildlife,” says a spokesperson. “While enjoying the breathtaking vistas, you’ll also get delectable meals and engaging commentary from your onboard hosts.”
Along with three different route options between British Columbia and Alberta, passengers can choose from two types of service. Canada Rail’s GoldLeaf package offers a deluxe experience with outdoor vestibule access and a bi-level dome coach, while SilverLeaf Train Service includes assigned seating in a single-level coach with oversized windows to facilitate scenic views along the journey.
Both levels of service on the train come with complimentary meals, beverages, and snacks, as well as interpretive commentary, one night’s hotel accommodation in Kamloops, Quesnel, or Whistler, coach transfers between train stations and hotels, and luggage delivery.
Meals on the Rocky Mountaineer are tailored to the dietary requirements of passengers, with special catering for individuals with allergies or intolerances, religious preferences, special diets, or vegetarian/vegan needs.
